Piano Lessons

Experience the joy of music with piano lessons for all ages & skill levels. Under personalized guidance in a supportive environment, you will develop your playing style and express yourself through music!

Drum Kit Lessons

Develop strong rhythmic skills and coordination in drum kit lessons. You'll play music you already love, and explore new genres & playing styles. You'll build foundational skills and become a versatile player through practise!

Theory & Aural Tutoring

Music theory and aural tutoring provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts that underpin music. These sessions are ideally suited for students who are already studying music.

30min Intial Consultation

$20

Your initial consultation is a chance for us to get to know each other, for you to try the instrument, and to develop a tailored learning plan together. We'll spend some of the time talking, and some of the time playing!

During the trial, you'll be able to ask lots of questions, learn some new skills, and play some songs. At the end of the consultation you'll have the option to enrol on the day if you choose, or I can follow up with you later in the week.

30min Private Lesson

$39.5 - $42 per lesson

30 minutes is the ideal lesson time for beginners, and for most continuing students. It gives us enough time to work through all your pieces and have meaningful musical discussions. This lesson time also aligns well with a balanced practise schedule that school students can maintain on a regular basis.

45min Private Lesson

$55.50 - $58 per lesson

45 minute lessons are suitable for students who have a higher workload, or are working on more advanced pieces. The extra time provides more room to work through your pieces as usual, as well as keeping on top of the extra bits you may be working on, such as exam preparation or performance practise. Once you're in healthy practise habits, this lesson time will assist you in weekly work without adding an overwhelming amount of tasks.

60min Private Lesson or Written Tutoring Session

$72.50 - $75 per lesson

60 minute lessons are most suited for adults, and students who get lots done in a week! The longer lesson time works well for those who have lots of questions each week, and are interested in having in-depth discussions about your music and instrument. We can work through multiple pieces, including long-term projects, and you'll be given a larger practise load of extra activities to try during the week.

60 minute tutoring sessions are available for students who are preparing for exams or wanting some additional help with written music, as either a one-off or an ongoing commitment.

About Me

My name is Caitlin, and I’m currently in my third year at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, studying a Bachelor of Music (Classical Performance) as a percussionist. I’ve been playing piano since I was very young, and took to the drum kit early on in high school. I have more than four years of experience as a piano and drum kit tutor, and enjoy performing with my university and community ensembles.

When teaching, I encourage students and provide feedback so they can take charge of their own learning process. I enjoy providing a supportive learning environment to students of all ages and levels. I ensure that students fully understand the foundational skills required for them to succeed, fostering an environment that places emphasis on the joy of music making!

I love learning about new music styles & other art forms, have a passion for education, and can't wait to meet you :)
